Involuntary rebooking criteria
Passengers may be involuntarily rebooked when a schedule change:
• exceeds 31 minutes
• causes a misconnection or
• when only one flight per day is available on the affected route.

Involuntary ticket reissues
Travel agencies may process involuntary reissues only when both the original and new itineraries consist exclusively of AEGEAN /Olympic Air prime or AEGEAN /Olympic Air marketing flights.
All other involuntary reissues must be handled by AEGEAN offices.
Due to GDS limitations, travel agencies must reissue all flight coupons. In line with IATA regulations, AEGEAN offices reissue only the affected coupons.

A full refund may be granted in the following cases:

Use of alternative carriers
Alternative carriers may be considered only when no AEGEAN flight option is available.
A request must be submitted to AEGEAN HUB under the subject “Involuntary reissue due to schedule change or misconnection”. Approval depends on the notification date.

Endorsement box requirements
The Endorsement Box must clearly indicate the reason for the involuntary change using one of the following entries:

Involuntary refund processing
Only the travel agency that originally issued the ticket (same IATA number) is authorized to process involuntary refunds.
Tickets issued directly by AEGEAN cannot be refunded by agents.
