The HANDLING ADVICE consists of two parts:
The handling advice, which must be completed by the travel agency.
Note: Please ensure that all connecting flights are included.
The passenger’s declaration, at the bottom, which must be completed by the passenger.
Page 2:
The Medical Information Form (MEDIF) must be completed by the attending physician and it should contain detailed information concerning the passenger’s condition that will enable Aegean’s medical advisors, to judge if and under what conditions the patient can be permitted to travel by air as requested.
These details will also help the Aegean Medical Department in issuing appropriate instructions for the patient’s care and the special circumstances of the requested flight.
IMPORTANT: The medical department may overrule a decision made by the passenger’s private physician. Please find links below for the necessary oxygen declarations as well as the medical information (MEDIF) forms in both Greek and English.
1. DECLARATION FOR OXYGEN POC
2. DECLARATION FOR OXYGEN
3. MEDIF form (EN)
4. MEDIF form (GR)
Please note that Aegean Airlines does not provide oxygen on board. Passengers may carry an aircraft-certified oxygen bottle of up to 2L for personal use on board. It must be accompanied by the appropriate documentation certifying its suitability for use during the flight.
Oxygen request instructions
- For oxygen carriage to be approved, before the start of the passenger’s journey, you must insert an SSR into the booking, using the NN status and notifying the type of oxygen bottle and its capacity in litres.
- Aegean will respond according to the SSR status (HK or UC), accompanied, if required, by a corresponding SSR which will contain the correct information. If you haven’t followed these instructions when you created the PNR, you should insert a new SSR. Aegean will then follow the same procedure to respond to you.
- Please note that the response to the SSR status (HK or UC) is also dependent on the medical clearance of the MEDIF form.
- For more information regarding entries, please contact your GDS Help Desk or visit your GDS's Help/Info Pages.
